Great night at the Bluecoat!

Thanks to everyone who attended ‘The Art of the Album Cover’ at the Bluecoat last week…it was a great night!

To a packed audience Paul traced the history of the album cover, from the obscure (‘Green Onions’ anyone?) to the infamous in a witty, educational and entirely entertaining visual lecture.

From the extensive list of albums, The Big House (Candie Payne & Paul Molloy) handpicked and performed their favourite four songs. We were treated to gorgeous renditions of Pink Floyd’s ‘Breathe’, Dylan’s ‘She Belongs to Me’, Velvet Underground & Nico’s ‘Sunday Morning’ and the Shirelle’s ‘Will You Love Me Tomorrow’.

Thanks to Paul, Candie & Paul for a wonderful event, to The Bluecoat team for their support, to Brian Roberts for his magnificent photos (as always!) and to The Attic for a fantastic after-party. We hope you all had fun!

This is just the start of the ‘Album Cover’ series with more to come in 2013!
