Cash for Kids
Cash for Kids are part of Bauer Media’s network of local charities which operate across 21 areas around the UK.
As the official charity of Liverpool’s Radio City 96.7, they support disabled and disadvantaged children in the city and surrounding areas through grants to charities, individuals and other causes.
Our brief was to create and produce a fashion show to raise funds and awareness for Whizz-Kidz, a charity which provides disabled children and young people with vital mobility equipment and training to help them gain skills and look forward to an independent future. In celebration of this, the event was to be held on American Independence Day, July 4th.
Using Independence Day as our inspiration we created an all-American themed event with the Whizz-Kidz children as the stars of the show.
The event took place at Exchange Flags, an outdoor location adorned with stars and stripes, candyfloss carts, popcorn stands and themed cocktails. American footballers, cheerleaders, a marching band, majorettes and a glee club opened the show which was hosted by local Radio City presenters. Local retailers and designers contributed outfits for the show and professional models appeared alongside the Whizz-Kidz, Radio City presenters and their children. Live music, interviews, a raffle and after-party complemented the show.
“Little Atom Productions made a huge positive impact on the lives of the Whizz Kidz children, families and staff through their commitment to put on such a fantastic and memorable event. Their sensitivity, care and thoughtfulness made this event a complete pleasure to work on.”
